This WEL is being used to monitor the operation of a typical family in a split-level home. For heat, the house has a natural gas forced air furnace with an electric heat pump, both installed in 2009. It also has an air conditioner (15.5 SEER, installed 2009). Hot water is provided by a tankless water heater. A 2.1 kW photovoltaic solar array was installed in August of 2012. Typical output of the PV system is about 1800 kW (max).
